Description
Borreliosis (Lyme disease) is a polysystemic infectious disease caused by the spirochete Borrelia burgdorferi and transmitted to humans through tick bites. The human immune system responds to the penetration of spirochetes into the body by the synthesis of antibodies.
Determination of IgG antibodies in the blood can confirm the diagnosis of acute borreliosis.
The test is used for the diagnosis of borreliosis and its long-term consequences, differential diagnosis of transmissible infections and various lesions of the nervous system, heart, joints of infectious genesis.
