2076. Borrelia burgdorferi, IgG antibodies
Description
The test detects specific IgG antibodies produced in response to infection with the Borrelia burgdorferi sensu lato bacterial complex. The test can diagnose current or past Lyme disease. Important! To confirm a diagnosis of Lyme disease, positive or inconclusive test results must be confirmed by blot analysis Package # 138 (Borrelia burgdorferi, IgG,IgM antibodies, BlotAnalisis).
When and who needs the test?
Three to four weeks after a probable tick bite.
If you were outdoors (forests, parks) and have the following symptoms:
- fever;
- general malaise;
- fatigue;
- neck pain or stiffness;
- migratory joint or muscle pain;
- memory impairment or difficulty concentrating;
- headache;
- swollen lymph nodes;
- tingling sensation;
- four weeks after receiving a negative test result, if symptoms persist.
