9684. HLA-B27/HLA-B7 (qualitative determination)
Description
HLA are antigens of the human major histocompatibility complex, which are located on the cell membrane and take part in the body's immune responses. Determination of HLA-B27 is carried out for the differential diagnosis of arthritis, which are manifested by pain and asymmetric lesions of large joints and the spine, for the prognosis of complications.
Determination of HLA-B7 is carried out before assessing the risks of developing cervical cancer (in the case of detecting genotypes of a high carcinogenic risk of human papillomavirus, dysplasia), the development of diseases with damage to the joints.
In a comprehensive examination, tests are also prescribed to determine the level of rheumatoid factor, C-reactive protein, antinuclear antibodies. HLA-B7 in combination with cytology and HPV test (optimal package no. 129).
When and who needs the test?
- differential diagnosis of early arthritis;
- diagnosis of ankyloid spondyliti;
- differential diagnosis in rheumatoid arthritis, a non-malignant form of Reiter's syndrome (without urethritis or uveitis);
- with Reiter's syndrome with severe arthitis and other arthritis;
- predicting a more severe course of articular syndrome in carriers of the genetic marker HLA-B27;
- sarcoidosis;
- cervical cancer.
Biological material
