9361. Vitamin Active-B12 (Holotranskobalamin)
Important information
*The test is performed at Synevo laboratory in Germany
Description
Holotranscobalamin is the most active form of vitamin B12 in the human body. Holotranscobalamin takes part in the synthesis of DNA and RNA, ensures the normal functioning of the blood system, and a decrease in its levels is accompanied by the development of anemia.
The study of the levels of holotranscobalamin will help to assess both the amount of vitamin B12 in the body and its activity, which makes it possible to accurately find the root cause of the development of anemia and diagnose metabolic disorders. It should be taken in combination with folic acid and iron.
