9353. Hepatitis B virus (HBV), HBsAg, quantification
Description
HBsAg is an antigen that is first detected in the blood when infected with hepatitis B. Its detection makes it possible to diagnose the disease at very early stages and makes it possible to confirm the chronicity of the infectious process.
Quantification of antigen significantly increases the information content and accuracy of the study.
The analysis can be used to diagnose hepatitis B, assess the effectiveness of its treatment and make a prognosis of the disease. It should be taken in combination with other markers of hepatitis B.
