Description
Opiates are a wide group of narcotic substances with a pronounced narcotic effect. Three of them (morphine, codeine and papaverine) are used in clinical practice, others are considered illegal drugs.
Qualitative determination of opiates in the blood allows to confirm the use of drugs from this group of drugs.
The test is used for the diagnosis of drug addiction, overdoses, as well as in judicial practice. It is best done in conjunction with tests for the detection of other drugs.
When and who needs the test?
The test is used to identify the fact of using and monitoring therapy with drugs containing narcotic and psychotropic substances.

In order to exclude factors that may affect the test results, we recommend to follow the preparation rules:
- an important condition for laboratory tests is to take blood on an empty stomach.
