Description
Tumor necrosis factor (TNF) is a substance secreted by immune cells that protects the body at the level of cellular immunity. TNF is involved in the fight against bacteria and viruses, destroys tumor cells.
In the case of malfunction of the immune system, it provokes inflammatory and destructive processes. TNF plays a role in the pathogenesis of autoimmune diseases.
The analysis is used to diagnose and evaluate the effectiveness of the treatment of autoimmune diseases, assess the severity of sepsis.
When and who needs the test?
