9210. Erythropoietin
Description
Erythropoietin is a hormone that regulates the release of erythrocytes by the bone marrow, provides compensation for anemic and hypoxic conditions. Erythropoietin levels change with anemia, kidney and bone marrow pathology.
The test is used to diagnose polycythemia and anemia, to determine the condition of patients with renal failure. It should be carried out in conjunction with the study of the levels of antibodies to erythropoietin.
