9181. Gastric parietal cells, IgG antibodies (PCA)
Description
Antibodies to the parietal cells of the stomach lead to their destruction, impaired secretion of hydrochloric acid and the internal factor of Castle, followed by the development of atrophic gastritis with low acidity. This condition is manifested by pallor, general weakness, redness of the tongue, numbness of the limbs, and sometimes pain in the stomach.
The test is used to diagnose the causes of vitamin B12 deficiency, differential diagnosis of gastritis. CBC, a biochemical blood test, a level of vitamin B12, a test for antibodies to an internal factor are prescribed in the complex.
