Description
SCCA is a protein that is present in squamous cell tissues of carcinomas of various localizations. It is a highly sensitive tumor marker of squamous cell carcinoma and is used in combination with other methods for diagnosis, evaluation of treatment effectiveness, detection of recurrence of cancer of the cervix, lungs, organs of the genitourinary system, and esophagus. It should be taken with other cancer markers (Cyfra CA 21-1, CA 15-3, CA 19-9, CA 72-4, etc.).
