Description
Adiponectin is a hormone synthesized by adipose tissue under the influence of insulin. Adiponectin actively regulates energy metabolism, has an anti-inflammatory effect, prevents the development of vascular atherosclerosis, and influences tissue sensitivity to insulin.
Measurement of adiponectin levels allows one to assess the risk of developing type 2 diabetes and heart attack.

Prevention of the development of type 2 diabetes, insulin resistance, cardiovascular disease, monitoring of treatment of type 2 diabetes, metabolic syndrome.
