Description
Pathological (histological) examination of ovarian tissues plays an important role in the diagnosis of ovarian neoplasms and the determination of the causes of infertility.
The test of the biopsy allows assessing the functional state of the organ, identifying atypical cells, determining the type of tumor and the stage of the disease, and choosing the right treatment tactics. Material for test can be obtained by biopsy or wedge resection of the ovaries.
It is desirable to carry out the test in combination with the study of the levels of ovarian hormones.
