7017. Karyotyping (blood, second partner, GTG-method)
Important information
*It is issued by a separate order for the second partner when determining the karyotype of the spouses (mandatory registration of the second order of service 7007 for the wife/husband). Blood sampling from spouses for services 7007 and 7017 must be done on the same day.

- Kyiv region, Zhytomyr, Chernihiv, Cherkasy, Kropyvnytskyi, Uman, Sumy (Mon-Sat)
- Other regions (Mon-Fri)
Description
Karyotyping is an analysis of a person's chromosome set. When planning a pregnancy, it is important to test both partners: identifying chromosomal changes allows us to assess the risk of miscarriage, infertility, or the birth of a child with congenital defects.
When and who needs the test?
- For male or female infertility.
- For primary amenorrhea.
- For recurrent miscarriages (two or more miscarriages).
- For miscarriages or stillbirths of unknown origin.
- In cases of early infant mortality or the birth of a child with a chromosomal abnormality.
- For children with multiple birth defects.
- When planning IVF or after unsuccessful attempts at artificial insemination.
- To assess hereditary risks and predict the health of the unborn child.

In order to exclude factors that may affect the test results, we recommend to follow the preparation rules:
