Description

AF GENITAL SYSTEM allows you to detect, semi-quantitatively count, pre-identify and determine the sensitivity to antibiotics Mycoplasma hominis and Ureaplasma urealyticum, to identify and identify microorganisms most often released from vaginal and urethral smears, spp. / Providencia spp., Pseudomonas spp., Gardnerella vaginalis, Staphylococcus aureus, Enterococcus faecalis, Neisseria gonorrhoeae, Streptococcus agalactiae (Group B) and Candida spp. 

AF The Genital System is a system for examining urogenital smears, which is the basis for the successful treatment of sexually transmitted infections, inflammatory diseases of the pelvic organs in women, prostatitis in men, and infertility. Bacterial culture for urogenital microorganisms is a test elaborated to identify specific causative agents of diseases of the genitourinary system. It is  performed in the presence of pain, itching, burning sensation in the genitourinary organs, pain during urination and intercourse, discharge from the genital organs, and fever. Scraping test is taken to diagnose mycoplasmosis, ureaplasmosis, gardnerellosis, trichomoniasis, chlamydia, vaginosis, gonorrhea.

If pathogenic intestinal flora is detected, the test for antibiotic resistance is performed – a test for the sensitivity of microorganisms to antibiotics. 

When and who needs the test?

  • Allows to solve the problem of diagnosis and treatment of diseases of the urogenital tract, especially in patients with high infectious risk.
  • Scraping test is carried out to diagnose mycoplasmosis, ureaplasmosis, gardnerellosis, trichomoniasis, chlamydia, vaginosis, gonorrhea.
  • If pathogenic intestinal flora is detected, the test for antibiotic resistance is performed – a test for the sensitivity of microorganisms to antibiotics.

  • Collection of material should be carried out before the start of treatment with antibacterial/antimycotic drugs (general and local).
  • In case of treatment monitoring – 14 days after completion of the course of treatment with antibacterial/antimycotic drugs.
