Description
Demodicosis of the eyelids is a common form of demodicosis, characterized by itching in the eye area, redness, peeling, dry skin. Accordingly, blepharitis occurs – inflammation of the eyelids (there is swelling, thickening, itching of the eyelids, scales are visible around the eyelashes). Often there is a loss of eyelashes. A review of the eyelashes under a microscope allows you to detect a tick (demodex) on them and confirm the diagnosis of demodicosis.
The test is used in dermatology for the diagnosis of demodicosis and its differential diagnosis with other diseases.
When and who needs the test?
Recommended for frequent styes, eyelash loss, recurrent acne, psoriasis.

Preparing for testing of papule content
- Do not use decorative cosmetics, personal hygiene products with a high alkali content, various creams, do not use local medications for 3 days before the procedure.
- Do not wash with water 24 hours before the test.
