Description
Demodicosis is a disease that affects the skin and manifests itself as papules, pustules, acne, rosacea, hair loss, and increased skin oiliness. The disease is caused by an iron gland (demodex mite) that lives on the skin, in the sebaceous glands and hair follicles. Epithelial scraping is the basic method for diagnosing demodicosis.
Identification of the tick and its particles in the scraping makes it possible to confirm the diagnosis of demodicosis.

Preparing for testing of skin scrapings
- Do not use decorative cosmetics, personal hygiene products with a high alkali content, various creams, do not use local medications for 3 days before the procedure.
