4008. Faecal test for Intestinal parasitism (method of concentrating Parasep)

This test detects the most common human intestinal parasites (helminths and protozoa) in stool samples using microscopy after pre-concentration using the Parasep™ system. It is one of the most effective methods for diagnosing intestinal infestations, with high sensitivity to various types of parasites.

If the result is negative, the test should be repeated several times, every 2-3 days. It is best to perform the test in conjunction with a complete blood count.

Both helminths and protozoa can parasitize the human intestine. Their presence can be accompanied by digestive disorders, anemia, allergic reactions, and decreased immunity.

The Parasep™ method is a modern stool sample preparation system that significantly improves the accuracy of microscopic examination and is designed to detect parasites inhabiting the lower gastrointestinal tract at various stages of development. Since parasites may shed eggs or cysts periodically, if a negative result is obtained, a repeat test is recommended at intervals of 1-2 days.

When?
