Description
A comprehensive microbiological test that combines PCR diagnostics of sexually transmitted infections (STIs) with a bacteriological culture of urogenital material.
The package allows detection of both specific pathogens (Chlamydia, Mycoplasma, Ureaplasma, Trichomonas) and opportunistic bacterial microflora, as well as determination of their antibiotic susceptibility. If pathogens are detected, an antibiotic susceptibility test with MIC (minimal inhibitory concentration) is performed to assess antibiotic effectiveness and select targeted therapy.
When and who needs the test?
- in the presence of urogenital infection symptoms (discharge, itching, burning, pain during urination, pelvic discomfort);
- in cases of infertility (in men and women), before planning pregnancy or IVF;
- in cases of recurrent miscarriage; • for follow-up after treatment of STIs;
- to clarify the etiology of inflammatory diseases (urethritis, vaginitis, prostatitis, cervicitis);
- after contact with an infected partner.
Biological material
- Various types of biological material depending on the test
- Scrapes from various sites depending on the test
