A comprehensive genetic test that assesses an inherited predisposition to thrombophilia – an increased risk of blood clot formation. It includes key markers of the blood coagulation system. The test is recommended for screening cardiovascular risks and assessing reproductive health.

The panel includes 7 of the most clinically significant genetic markers that affect coagulation (blood clotting), platelet aggregation, and fibrinolysis:

• F2 (prothrombin) – affects the synthesis of thrombin, a key enzyme in the coagulation cascade;
• F7, F13A1 – coagulation factors involved in clot stabilization;
• FGB (fibrinogen) – the basis of a blood clot; mutations are associated with hypercoagulability;
• ITGA2, ITGB3 – platelet receptors that regulate platelet adhesion and aggregation;
• SERPINE1 (PAI-1) – inhibits fibrinolysis, promoting clot stability.

Genetic polymorphisms in these genes may affect the risk of:

• venous thrombosis;
• pulmonary embolism (PE);
• ischemic stroke;
• myocardial infarction;
• pregnancy complications (preeclampsia, fetal growth restriction, placental abruption).

Indications for Use:

• Prevention of thrombosis before or after surgical procedures, stent implantation, or bypass surgery.
• Risk assessment when planning pregnancy or IVF.
• A history of recurrent miscarriages or preeclampsia.
• A family history of thrombosis, particularly at a young age or when the cause is unknown.
• Use of hormonal medications (combined oral contraceptives, HRT).
• Ischemic stroke or myocardial infarction before the age of 50.

Recommended for:

• Women planning pregnancy or with a history of pregnancy complications.
• Patients with thromboembolic complications.
• Individuals undergoing hormone therapy or taking antiplatelet medications.
• Individuals with a family history of thrombosis, stroke, or myocardial infarction.
