Description
Study to identify coronavirus SARS-CoV-2, which allows by the method of real-time polymerase chain reaction (RT-PCR) to determine the coronavirus RNA in a biomaterial sample.
When and who needs the test?
The test is recommended to confirm/exclude COVID-19 after returning from a trip, if necessary, present the test result at the place of demand (for a flight, to sanatoriums, for hospitalization, etc.), before visiting relatives who are at risk for severe course of COVID: age over 65 years, the presence of diabetes mellitus, arterial hypertension and other aggravating diseases; to monitor the course of the disease, to confirm recovery.

Preparing for naso-oropharyngeal swab taking
- For 4–5 hours before sampling, do not use nasal drops, do not rinse the nasal passages.
- The biomaterial is taken under fasting conditions or 3–4 hours after eating and drinking.
- It is not recommended to brush your teeth, rinse your mouth/throat, or smoke for 3–4 hours before sampling.
