Description
The Respiratory Infections Panel is a multiplex real-time PCR test designed for the qualitative detection and differentiation of influenza A, influenza B, respiratory syncytial virus (RSV), metapneumovirus, rhinovirus and parainfluenza viral RNA and adenovirus DNA in nasal specimens. The test helps in the diagnosis of acute respiratory viral infections in combination with clinical and epidemiological risk factors and may be useful for the selection of specific antiviral treatment.

Preparing for naso-oropharyngeal swab taking
- For 4–5 hours before sampling, do not use nasal drops, do not rinse the nasal passages.
- The biomaterial is taken under fasting conditions or 3–4 hours after eating and drinking.
- It is not recommended to brush your teeth, rinse your mouth/throat, or smoke for 3–4 hours before sampling.
