Description
The F5 gene determines the body's response to the effects of protein C, one of the factors in the blood's coagulation system. If there are structural configurations in this gene, the body stops responding properly to the action of protein C and, therefore, the hemostasis system begins to malfunction.
The test is used to determine the risks of pathology of pregnancy, heart attacks, strokes, as well as before taking oral contraceptives and hormonal drugs.
