Description

PCR testing for Ureaplasma urealyticum from a urogenital swab is a rapid and accurate method for detecting sexually transmitted infections. The test is used for urethritis, cervicitis, infertility, miscarriage, or recurrent STIs.

When and who needs the test?

  • For symptoms of urogenital inflammation (abnormal discharge, itching, pain, dysuria).
  • For couples with infertility or during preparation for assisted reproduction programs.
  • For women with recurrent miscarriages, suspected endometritis, or chronic inflammation.
  • For men with chronic prostatitis, urethritis, or abnormal sperm analysis.
  • For recurrent STIs or after ineffective treatment.

Women

  • Collection of material should be carried out before the start of treatment with antibacterial/antimycotic drugs (general and local).
  • In case of treatment monitoring – 14 days after completion of the course of treatment with antibacterial/antimycotic drugs.
