Description
Antibodies to ovarian tissue can have a negative effect on the endocrine and generative function of the ovaries. Autoantibodies affect the ability of the ovaries to produce steroid hormones in response to stimulation, they disrupt the process of maturation of follicles, initiate their destruction. As a result, the process of interaction between the egg and sperm is disrupted.
This test is used to diagnose ovarian failure, identify the causes of infertility and as a screening method before the in vitro fertilization procedure.
Recommended in combination with antisperm antibody test or MAR-test.
