Description
A comprehensive test is elaborated to identify possible triggering allergens in cases of suspected allergic nature of respiratory symptoms in children. Separate answer for each allergen. The choice of allergens for this test panel is determined by data on the prevalence of sensitization to individual allergens and the significance of various allergens as triggers for allergic reactions.
In atopic form of bronchial asthma and rhinitis in children, respiratory allergens of house dust, epidermis and secretions of domestic animals, plant pollen, and less often food allergens, are more often causal. The test is to make a diagnosis of allergies.
Children who show early sensitization to cow's milk or egg protein or respiratory allergens are at greater risk of developing bronchial asthma in the future, with early sensitization to grass pollen, an increased risk of developing allergic rhinitis.
When and who needs the test?
Recommended in adults with suspected respiratory allergies, atopic dermatitis, urticaria, angioedema, nausea, vomiting, abdominal pain, and diarrhea after eating eggs and milk; when deciding on the feasibility of ASIT.
