2223. Borrelia burgdorferi, IgG antibodies (BlotAnalisis)
Description
This test detects IgG antibodies to highly specific proteins of the Borrelia burgdorferi sensu lato complex. According to the recommendations of the CDC (Centers for Disease Control and Prevention), the test is required to confirm or rule out Lyme disease.
When and who needs the test?
- in case of positive results for IgM and/or IgG antibodies to Borrelia burgdorferi;
- in case of double-negative IgM and/or IgG antibody test results with persistent clinical symptoms for up to 12 weeks.
