Description

The package ‘Antibodies to helminths’ is a comprehensive study required to detect antibodies to the most common parasites that a person can become infected with when drinking dirty water, vegetables, herbs and fruits, poorly processed meat.

The indications for the appointment are:

  • suspicion of infection with parasites (when the level of eosinophils in the blood increases) in children and adults;
  • routine examination of residents of epidemiologically unfavorable regions;
  • checking agricultural and livestock workers;
  • identifying helminths in pets;
  • when registering a child in preschool institutions, a camp, a swimming pool.

Symptoms of helminthiasis include the appearance of itching, itching in the perianal region, stool disorders (diarrhea alternates with constipation), and muscle pain. Helminthic invasion without timely diagnosis leads to serious consequences for the body, therefore, if symptoms occur, you should immediately consult a doctor.

When and who needs the test?

A comprehensive study for the presence of the main groups of helminths is shown in the presence of the following symptoms:

  • periodic increase in body temperature, which has no specific reasons;
  • bad sleep, depressed mood;
  • stool dysfunction – there may be constipation or diarrhea, abdominal pain and rumbling;
  • disruption of the digestive system – nausea and vomiting, bloating;
  • allergic manifestations – itching, small rashes on the skin without the influence of an allergen;
  • when infected with roundworms, specific signs will be a characteristic cough without other signs of bacterial or viral inflammation, symptoms of bronchitis and an increase in regional lymph nodes; echinococcosis is manifested by the presence of characteristic cysts, weight loss, pain in the right hypochondrium.
