Description
Mycoplasma pneumoniae is an infectious agent that provokes the development of diseases of the respiratory tract. Pneumonia, bronchitis, pharyngitis and tracheitis are most often associated with mycoplasma. The penetration of bacteria into the body leads to the release of specific antibodies by the immune system.
Detection of IgA antibodies in the blood indicates the infection of the body with mycoplasma, can be used for the diagnosis of mycoplasma infections and the differential diagnosis of respiratory infections. At the same time, the levels of at least two classes of antibodies specific to mycoplasma should be studied.
