Description
Intestinal yersiniosis is an infectious disease caused by bacteria of the genus Yersinia, which is characterized by damage to the digestive tract by the type of enterocolitis. Penetration into the body of the pathogen provokes the release of antibodies specific to the pathogen by immune cells.
Determination of IgG antibodies allows to confirm the etiological role of the bacterium Yersinia enterocolitica in the development of the infectious process.
The test is used to diagnose acute and chronic forms of yersiniosis, as well as differential diagnosis of various infectious enterocolitis.
