2123. Complement C1q circulating immune complexes, autoantibodies
Description
C1q is the first glycoprotein in the cascade of reactions in case of classical activation of the complement system. It is a marker of systemic diseases. These diseases are manifested by damage to the joints, fever, skin rash, erythema on the face and neck, damage to internal organs (especially the kidneys).
This test is used to diagnose and monitor the course of systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE), urticarial vasculitis, to assess the risk of kidney damage in SLE.
The complex prescribes tests for C3, C4 compliments, antibodies to nuclear antigens, antibodies to double-stranded DNA, antinuclear factor on HEp-2 cells.
When and who needs the test?

- monitoring chronic inflammatory kidney disease;
- in combination with other studies for the diagnosis of immunodeficiency conditions.
