2116. Phosphatidylserine, IgG antibodies
Description
Phosphatidylserine is a negatively charged phospholipid that is part of cell membranes.
Determination of IgG antibodies to it is carried out in the presence of venous thrombosis, pulmonary hypertension, migraine, seizures, mental disorders. An increase in these antibodies favors a chronic course or a previous illness.
It is recommended to confirm the diagnosis of antiphospholipid syndrome and to identify the causes of thrombotic complications.
Before this test, tests are prescribed for antibodies to beta-2-glycoprotein 1, cardiolipin, lupus anticoagulant, a general and biochemical blood test, a coagulogram.
When and who needs the test?
In combination with other testsfor the diagnosis of antiphospholipid syndrome (incomprehensible thrombosis, infertility and repeated miscarriage, thrombocytopenia).
