Description
Package No. 9.2 is a set of tests elaborated to diagnose TORCH infections, which are extremely dangerous during pregnancy, therefore, during the planning of pregnancy, women should be examined for them without fail.
This package includes tests to detect cytomegalovirus infection, rubella, toxoplasmosis, herpes simplex virus types 1 and 2. If IgM antibodies are detected, it can be concluded that there is an acute process. If IgG antibodies are isolated, then most likely the body has already suffered this infection in the past and the likelihood of infection of the fetus is negligible, since the mother's immunity extends to the child.
The detection of both types of antibodies is a sign of reactivation of the disease in a severe form, in which an urgent termination of pregnancy is recommended for medical reasons, because this poses a danger to the health and life of the fetus.
