Description
Determination of the concentration of human epididymal protein 4 (HE4), which can be used to diagnose, assess the prognosis and control the treatment of ovarian and endometrial cancer.
When and who needs the test?
- differential diagnosis of small pelvis formations;
- diagnosis of epithelial ovarian cancer (with normal or elevated levels of CA 125);
- monitoring the effectiveness of therapy for epithelial ovarian cancer;
- early diagnosis of recurrence and metastasis of ovarian cancer;
- benign diseases of the ovaries;
- mammary cancer;
- endometrial cancer.
