Description
Cardiolipin is a phospholipid that is present in blood plasma and is part of the inner membrane of mitochondria. Determination of antibodies to it is carried out on suspicion of antiphospholipid syndrome in the presence of venous thrombosis, pulmonary hypertension, migraine, seizures, mental disorders.
An increase in IgG antibodies speaks in favor of a chronic course or a previously transferred process.
It is recommended for the diagnosis of APS syndrome in the pathology of pregnancy, before taking oral contraceptives and for assessing the risk of developing thrombosis.
The complex prescribes a general blood test, biochemistry, coagulogram, antibodies to beta-2-glycoprotein I.
