Description
Giardiasis is a parasitic disease that is manifested by an acute violation of the activity of the digestive tract. Called by lamblia (Lamblia intestinalis). The immune system reacts to the penetration of lamblia into the body by active synthesis of antibodies.
Identification of antibodies specific to lamblia in a sick person allows to determine the presence of lamblia in the body and to confirm their role in the development of the disease.
The test is widely used for the diagnosis of giardiasis and its differential diagnosis with other intestinal infections and parasitic diseases.
