Description
Helicobacter pylori is a bacterium that, infecting humans, lives in the folds of the stomach lining. Helicobacter pylori infection is considered one of the main reasons for the development of gastritis and gastric ulcer and duodenal ulcer. In addition, it plays a role in the development of oncological diseases of the gastrointestinal tract.
Determination of specific IgG antibodies allows to confirm the infection of the organism with Helicobacter pylori. The test is used to diagnose gastritis and peptic ulcer disease, as well as to assess the risk of their development and correct treatment. When and who needs the test?
- evaluation of a patient with new-onset signs of dyspepsia (primary infection with H. Pylori) or with a history of dyspepsia, if H. Pylori therapy was not prescribed;
- primary diagnosis of helicobacteriosis;
