2034. Chlamydia trachomatis, IgG antibodies
Description
Chlamydia is the most common sexually transmitted disease. It is caused by the intracellular parasite Chlamydia trachomatis. Human immune cells react to the penetration of chlamydia into the body by secreting antibodies specific to it.
Determining the levels of IgG antibodies makes it possible to diagnose acute (in the presence of an increase in antibody titers) and chronic chlamydia. In addition, subject to a comprehensive assessment with the determination of antibodies to other pathogens, the assessment of the levels of antibodies to chlamydia will help to differentially diagnose chlamydia with other urogenital infections.
