Description
The Epstein-Barr virus is one of the most common pathogens from the TORCH group of infections. It is spread from person to person through blood, saliva, tears, urine, semen, vaginal, nasal secretions. The body reacts to the penetration of the virus into the body and its active growth by secreting antibodies. One of the first to appear are acute phase IgM antibodies.
Their detection in the blood allows you to determine the infection with the virus in the acute period of the disease. The test can be used to diagnose infectious pathology, which is provoked by the Epstein-Barr virus, and to determine its activity.
