2009. Hepatitis B virus (HBV), HBcorAg, IgM antibodies
Description
Hepatitis B virus (HBV) is an infectious agent that is transmitted by parenteral, sexual and vertical (from mother to child) ways and provokes the development of hepatitis B.
When the disease develops, various antigens and antibodies to them can be determined in the patient's blood. The first antibodies released in response to viral penetration are IgM antibodies to the HBcorAg antigen.
This analysis allows you to identify infection with the hepatitis B virus in the acute period of the disease. It is widely used in combination with the assessment of other antibodies and antigens for the diagnosis of hepatitis, their differentiation, determination of the form of the disease and correction of its treatment.
