Description
A comprehensive laboratory test that includes markers for the two most common parenterally transmitted hepatitis viruses – B and C. Identification of these markers allows for differential diagnosis of diseases with similar clinical presentations.
When and who needs the test?
- If you have symptoms of liver damage: weakness, loss of appetite, nausea, dark urine, jaundice, or discomfort in the right upper quadrant.
- In case of contact with infected individuals or after potentially risky situations (medical procedures, tattooing, piercing, dental procedures, sharing needles, etc.).
- If planning a pregnancy.
- Before hospitalization, surgery, or blood donation.
- Individuals in high-risk groups – healthcare workers, hemodialysis patients, people with chronic liver disease, and those living with HIV.
