Description

NASH-2 FibroTest is a comprehensive non-invasive laboratory test used to assess the degree of liver fibrosis in patients with non-alcoholic fatty liver disease (NAFLD) and non-alcoholic steatohepatitis (NASH).

The test is based on a mathematical model that incorporates a range of biochemical parameters and the patient's clinical data. The test panel also includes:

ActiTest – to assess the necroinflammatory component (inflammatory activity);
SteatoTest – to determine the degree of hepatic steatosis (fatty infiltration of the liver).

This provides a comprehensive assessment of liver damage, including inflammation, fatty infiltration, and fibrosis.

When and who needs the test?

For patients with suspected non-alcoholic fatty liver disease (NAFLD), particularly those with obesity, metabolic syndrome, or type 2 diabetes mellitus.
For individuals with elevated liver enzyme levels of unknown etiology.
For non-invasive monitoring of liver fibrosis, inflammatory activity, and steatosis over time.
As an alternative to liver biopsy in patients with contraindications to the procedure.
