Description
PRISCA is a second-trimester fetal chromosomal abnormality screening test. The optimal time is 16-18 weeks. Based on β-hCG, AFP, and free estriol levels, the system calculates the risk of trisomies (21, 18, 13). It is recommended for pregnant women with identified risk factors after the first trimester.
When and who needs the test?
- Pregnant women in the second trimester (14+0 – 21+6 weeks) who have been identified as at risk based on first-trimester screening or clinical indications.
- Women aged 35 years and older.
- If ultrasound markers or abnormalities are detected in the first trimester.
- If there is a history of chromosomal abnormalities in previous pregnancies.
- If there are hereditary risk factors for chromosomal pathology in the family.
