Calculation of the risk of ovarian cancer (Index ROMA, %)
Tumor marker HE4

Turnaround time (days): 1

Description

A comprehensive tumor marker package for women, covering the risk of developing ovarian, breast, thyroid, pancreatic, gallbladder, and gastrointestinal cancers. Particularly recommended for those with a family history of cancer.

Package No. 7.4 includes 7 tumor markers covering the main risk areas for oncopathology in women:

  • CA 125 + HE 4 + ROMA index – assess the likelihood of the presence or development of epithelial ovarian cancer, taking into account menopausal status;
  • CA 15-3 – a breast carcinoma marker used to monitor the progression and treatment;
  • CA 19-9 – a marker for pancreatic and gallbladder cancer;
  • Thyroglobulin – an important indicator of thyroid health, especially in the dynamics following treatment for malignant tumors;
  • CEA – a non-specific marker used to assess tumors of the digestive organs, breast, lungs, and other organs.

This comprehensive examination provides a broad diagnostic panorama and is an important tool in the prevention, early detection, and monitoring of oncologic processes.

Important: Increased tumor marker levels do not always indicate cancer. They can occur with inflammatory or benign processes. Positive results must be assessed in a clinical context, taking into account additional studies (ultrasound, MRI, CT, biopsy, etc.).

When and who needs the test?

  • women with suspected neoplasms of the reproductive system, mammary gland, or thyroid gland;
  • patients with a strong family history (cancer in relatives);
  • to monitor the effectiveness of treatment or detect relapses after a diagnosis;
  • as part of regular cancer screening (especially during perimenopause or menopause);
  • for nonspecific symptoms that may indicate hidden tumor processes (weight loss, weakness, unexplained pain, changes in the menstrual cycle, etc.).

Biological material

  • Venous blood
