Description
The Women's Oncopanel is a complex of 5 tumor markers that helps assess the risk of developing common cancers in women: breast, ovarian, thyroid, pancreatic, and gastrointestinal. It is recommended for those with a family history of cancer and for post-treatment monitoring.
When and who needs the test?
- women with a strong family history of cancer;
- if a tumor is suspected (based on ultrasound, MRI, or CT scan results);
- in the presence of non-specific complaints (weight loss, anemia, abdominal pain, etc.);
- as part of a follow-up examination after cancer treatment (to monitor for recurrence or metastases);
- as part of preventive cancer screening after age 40, especially for hormone-dependent diseases or menopause.
