Description

Package No. 30 — a set of studies designed to test the body's immune system for the penetration of the pathogen.

It includes tests for immunoglobulins A, E, M, G in serum, which are produced to identify and neutralize foreign elements — bacteria and viruses. IgA is the first line of defense on mucous membranes, primarily against viruses. They also neutralize microbial toxins and trigger subsequent immunological processes. IgM are the first glycoproteins produced when the body is infected with bacteria and are indicative of the early stages of infection. IgG provide long-term (sometimes for life) protection of the body from re-infection. IgE - gamma globulins involved in immediate type reactions and antiparasitic protection.

The test is prescribed in case of suspicion / development of infectious diseases, neoplasms, multiple myeloma, cystic fibrosis, parasitic infestation, allergies. A decrease in serum IgG may indicate hypogamaglobulinemia, leukemia, celiac disease, AIDS, candidiasis.

When and who needs the test?

  •  it is recommended to take this package with frequent recurrences of colds, intestinal diseases (suspicion of infection with worms) or diseases of the urogenital tract;
  • for monitoring the course of myeloma IgG-type;
  • for examination of patients with autoimmune pathology;
  • in case of neoplasms of hematopoietic and lymphoid tissues, immunodeficiency states;
  • before using immunoglobulin preparations during and after it.
