Package ‘Diabetic’ is a set of laboratory tests for the diagnosis and differential diagnosis of types of diabetes.
This package allows to assess the risk of
developing diabetes mellitus (glucose (serum), glycated hemoglobin (HbA1c); the
level of insulin secretion by the pancreas (binding peptide C-peptide); the
presence of autoimmune destruction of pancreatic β-cells (GD). Perform
differential diagnosis and prognosis the occurrence of type 1 diabetes in the
immediate family of a patient with diabetes (glutamic acid decarboxylase
(GADA), IgG antibodies).
When and who needs the test?
The package is recommended to be examined if there are symptoms of carbohydrate metabolism disorders (frequent urination, thirst, weight loss, constant hunger, weakness, blurred vision, numbness of the extremities, slow wound healing, fatigue) for differential diagnosis of the type of diabetes mellitus.
