Description
Fructosamine is a complex of glucose and human blood protein (most often albumin), which allows you to assess the average glucose level for a period of about 10-20 days before the test.
The test may help to control your blood glucose (sugar) levels during the past 2-3 weeks if you have diabetes, especially when diabetes cannot be controlled with a glycated hemoglobin test; determine the effectiveness of changes to your diabetes care plan, if they have been made recently.
