Description
Creatine phosphokinase is one of the enzymes that ensures the activity of muscle and nervous tissue, the heart. Muscle creatine phosphokinase is different from cardiac and brain creatine phosphokinase. Normally, the blood contains a small amount of muscle creatine phosphokinase.
When muscle tissue cells are damaged, a large amount of the enzyme is released into the blood. Its definition is used in the diagnosis of myocardial infarction, pathology of the muscles and the peripheral nervous system.
Creatine phosphokinase should be studied in
combination with AST, LDH, creatinine, urea nitrogen.
