Description
Potassium is one of the main intracellular trace elements. It plays an important role in the conduction of nerve impulses, regulation of the activity of the heart, metabolic (exchange) processes.
Determination of potassium levels is used to
assess the water-salt balance, diagnose diseases of the kidneys (renal failure
and others), cardiovascular system (arrhythmia), adrenal insufficiency.
