Description
Albumin is a protein that is synthesized by the liver and acts as one of the main vehicles for chemical compounds, is involved in maintaining oncotic blood pressure.
Changes in albumin levels can lead to drug susceptibility problems. Albumin objectively reflects the protein balance in the body. The determination of this indicator in combination with the assessment of total protein, creatinine, liver function tests is used to assess the adequacy of human nutrition, search for the causes of general edema, diagnose diseases of the liver, kidneys and intestines.
