Description

This blood test makes it possible to assess the condition of the joints and detect signs of inflammation or metabolic disorders that may be associated with joint diseases. The obtained indicators provide the doctor with essential data for making a diagnosis and choosing the appropriate treatment.

The analysis of uric acid, phosphorus, rheumatoid factor (RF), C-reactive protein (CRP), and antibodies to cyclic citrullinated peptide (anti-CCP) makes it possible to assess the condition of the joints and bones, as well as detect signs of inflammation or metabolic disorders that may be associated with joint diseases.

Vitamin D reflects the total amount of this vitamin in the body (synthesized in the skin, obtained from food, or as a result of supplementation). Its main role is the regulation of phosphorus-calcium metabolism, so changes in vitamin D levels may help determine the causes of bone tissue damage.

Uric acid: elevated levels may indicate gout, which is associated with its accumulation and joint damage.

CRP is a protein synthesized mainly in the liver under the influence of cytokines and released into the bloodstream a few hours after tissue damage, at the onset of infection or an inflammatory process. An increase in CRP levels helps assess the presence and severity of inflammation, infectious processes, or tissue injury in combination with other indicators.

Phosphorus and calcium: imbalance may indicate problems with bone tissue or joints, especially in cases of osteoporosis. Anti-CCP and RF are markers of joint damage which, together with CRP, are important for diagnosing arthritis and other inflammatory joint diseases. These markers help determine the causes of joint inflammation.
